Project SPRING COTTAGE

This project included to change a bedroom into a family bathroom and to transform an unused and dark cellar space into wine cellar and study. Making both spaces feel comfortable, country cottage-style with character and warmth.

Family Bathroom

We added a freestanding bath as the focal point and designed a spacious wet room to provide modern convenience, featuring a large walk-in shower and white subway tiles. The wood-effect floor tiles were used to create a rustic feel. The walls were half paneled to add a traditional feature, painted in F&B Pigeon. To add warmth and personality, we repurposed a rustic wooden vanity, painted in a rich terracotta tone, adding both storage and a handcrafted feel. A playful framed artwork was added to tie the scheme together.

The Cellar

The brief for this project was to transform a dingy cellar into a warm and inviting wine cellar and study, all within a small budget.

To achieve this, we wrapped the walls in pallet wood, creating a rustic, textured finish that adds warmth and character while keeping costs low and supporting sustainability. This also added extra insulation to this cold space. We incorporated a built-in wine rack and glassware display to maximize functionality and turn the space into a practical yet stylish area for wine storage. We kept the original features such as wood beams and cottage-style doors to maintain the traditional feel.
