Project CASITA
This expansive space was originally two separate rooms, divided by a toilet.

To create a seamless entertaining area while maintaining a sense of privacy for TV watching, we removed the toilet and introduced a partition with a three-sided log burner to serve as a focal point, while also adding architectural interest. To add texture and depth, we tiled the partition with matt grooved tiles to complement the walls and ceiling painted in Little Greene Linen Wash. A large pendant by Pooky was added to bring soft illumination and a design feature.
To maximize seating and create a fun dining nook, by adding a corner kitchen bench transformed into banquette seating, which we upholstered in a tribal-style Vaughan fabric, this complements the joyful artwork on the wall. To bring an elegant touch and a sense of history, we added a French antique corner glass cabinet.
