The brief was a warm, inviting, and sophisticated interior design style, blending classic, vintage, and modern influences.
Originally a long, open and rather characterless room, the space lacked definition. To introduce structure while maintaining a sense of openness, we added walls and sliding doors to separate the library from the sitting area, creating two distinct yet connected zones.
Soft, warm tones were used across the walls and ceiling to enhance the natural wood elements and bring cohesion throughout. The client’s appreciation for global influences is reflected in the carefully curated pieces - from the antique cabinet that discreetly houses the television, to sculptural accents and collected objects layered across the room.
A stone fire surround adds architectural presence and warmth, while brass lighting and rich timber finishes introduce depth and sophistication.
