Creating a new focal point for a sitting room and improving the layout and flow.
The main brief for this project was to create a focal point that wasn’t the television, while improving the overall layout and flow of the sitting room.
This sitting room was dated and lacked a clear sense of focus, the TV was the first thing visible when entering the space. The layout was carefully reworked so the television now sits on the opposite wall within a beautiful bespoke wall unit, allowing it to feel integrated rather than dominant.
With the television repositioned, the fireplace and artwork above it naturally become the main focal point, bringing balance and character to the room.
The new layout also improves the flow between the sitting room and dining room through glass doors.
The clients had a wonderful eye for sourcing furniture and decorative details, which helped bring warmth, personality and elegance to the finished space.
