Our Process
Introduction
An initial site-visit or video-call to get to know one another. This is an opportunity to understand your vision, architectural parameters and aesthetics, as well as to discuss timelines and budgetary considerations.
Proposal
A design and fee proposal outlining the scope of the project will be sent based upon our initial discussions along with an information gathering questionnaire to fully understand your aspirations, likes and dislikes.
Detailed Briefing
Subject to proposal agreement, a second site visit will take place for detailing and deeper analysis. We will talk through the project specifics, the budget and time-frame considerations, and any further questions arising.
Concept
We will present a visual interpretation based on our understanding of your aspirations using moodboards, sketches and material samples. The moodboard will provide illustrations and indications of the design elements (i.e., palette, lighting, fabrics and furniture) and the overall atmosphere you are seeking to achieve. This is an evolving process to be fine-tuned until you are completely happy with the concept.
Design Development
Work will now start on all the elements of the agreed design. This is when technical floorplans drawings will be created and as applicable, electrical layouts conceived, plumbing requirements configured, lighting plans prepared, colour schemes decided upon, furniture & joinery specified, materials and finishes selected.
Procurement and Project Management
At this stage the various relevant trades are typically engaged and the goods ordered. This is when you will have two options:
Manage the project yourself. In this case you will be responsible for engaging contractors and seeing the project through to completion but rest assured we will be on hand to clarify any queries you may have during the implementation phase, although we will not engage directly with your tradespeople.
Engage our project management services. If you choose this option we will engage with all your contractors and suppliers to the point of completion and oversee the installation of all items. We will aim to keep tightly to time-frames and budgets, conduct regular site visits to resolve any problems arising and keep you fully informed throughout.
Finishing Touches
Our attention to detail extends to the final layer of the design, when with precision and care, everything is brought together. We will curate and arrange the appropriate accessories, artwork and decorative pieces to bring warmth, balance and personality to the space – so that it feels entire and complete, cohesive but personal.
